I haven't reviewed this book on my blog, but I thought I should just say I really liked it! It's poignant and moving, the sweet romance is perfectly balanced with a coming-of-age story and a journey of self discovery. Hadley makes a great protagonist; flawed, broken and hurt, but strong in the face of it and endearingly naive at times. Her experience moved me for the simple reason that I was once that girl - hearing my father was engaged to someone I didn't really know. I think the emotion and confusion Hadley has are authentic, and the author has examined something so personal with grace and tact. A really great book. I don't think you should hesitate to pick it up :-) More of my reviews can be found here.
