A cute novella chronicling Seraphina's audition to become Princess Glisselda's music tutor, highlighting Seraphina's sense of humour and unique way of handling weird situations, Gisselda's wily and strong-headed nature and Orma's distance. Although dragons do not feature prominently, Rachel Hartman whets the appetite and gets readers excited about her wonderful new world. I wish Prince Lucian Kiggs had a cameo, but we can't have it all *sigh*
