Death and the Girl Next Door

Death and the Girl Next Door - Darynda Jones I only got up to page 47, and then I had to stop. I'm very sorry to have to mark this book as a Did-Not-Finish, but the main character thinks a boy is stalking her, and she refuses to tell the police, citing "my grandparents are very worried and upset right now, the anniversary of my parent's disappearance and all, I can't worry them further" which is ridiculous because if she IS being stalked, and is harmed in any way (her best friend jokingly describes how this would come about with surprising gusto), the grandparents will be more upset!! I just can't read a book with this kind of an MC, plus the posturing between the two boys, potential love interests, is ridiculous, with the numerous references to glares, gazes, rage-filled-eyes and what not. And don't get me started on the pre-requisite beautiful blonde who threatens our poor little MC.
